Parliament’s Diary
Parliament yesterday continued the Address-in-Reply debate, in which 25 of the 75 available members had spoken by the end of the evening. Papers presented included the Economic Review, the annual sheep returns, and the annual report of the Honey Marketing Authority. Two notices of motion were added to the list, which now totals 28. Speakers in the Address - in-Reply debate were:— Opposition: Messrs R. L. Bailey (Heretaunga), W. A. Fraser (St. Kilda), W. E. Rowling (Buller), G. A. Spooner (Wanganui), W. Nash (Hutt), Dr. A. M. Finlay (Waitakere), Mr C. J. Moyle (Manukau). Sir Basil Arthur (Timaru). Government: Messrs H. R. Lapwood (Rotorua), G. G. Grieve (Awarua), H. J. Walker (St. Albans), the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall), the Under-Secre-tary of Finance (Mr Muldoon), the Minister of Lands (Mr Gerard), and Mr L. F. Sloane (Hobson).
