Transport To Schools
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 2. The maximum allowance of 3s a child a day for school transport may soon be increased. Commenting on a remit passed at the annual conference of Otago Federated Farmers, which called for the raising of the transport allowance from 3s to 5s a child, the secretary-manager of the Otago Education Board (Mr W. A. J. Perry) said today he expected an announcement from the Minister of Education “very soon.”
