Soccer Tour By Czechs
(N.Z. Press Association! AUCKLAND, June 3. Subject to aatisfatcory financial arrangements and approval by the New Zealand Football Association, there appears every prospect of a tour of this country next year by a top-flight Czechoslovakian soccer team. Auckland association officials were today holding tentative discussions with the president of the Czechoslovakian Football Association, Mr Otto Beck, who arrived in Auckland last night. Mr Beck, who is also president of the Union of European Football Associations, said his country was keen to tour both Australia and New Zealand.
The suggested time for the tour was either JanuaryFebruary or late July-August of next year. Mr Beck said he was empowered by U.E.F.A. to finalise points financially and otherwise.
