Motz And Ward c i I (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) ( BRADFORD, June 3. New Zealand’s toll of injuries on its cricket tour of England has been I further extended. This morning R. C. Motz and J. T. Ward went to hospital for examination of in- ( juries suffered in the field i yesterday. • The wicket-keeper, Ward, | was in pain after stopping a sharply rising ball from B. f R. Taylor and he has a dis- [ location of a joint in the in- t dex finger of his right hand. ’ It would not go back with * manipulation and has been < put in plaster. 1 It is not known how long J it will be before the plaster can be removed. ’ Motz, making a good attempt yesterday to hold ai > ; running catch, has split a| 1 [bone at the top of the index [ finger of his left hand. He is expected to bat today , [but it will be about two! weeks before the injury is healed.
