Wool Firmer At Wellington Sale
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 3. Prices for second-shear at the Wellington wool sale today were in the seller’s favour for most types compared with the Wanganui sale last Monday.
The official report, issued by the Wellington Wool-i brokers’ Association in conjunction with the New Zea-: land Woolbrokers’ Association and the New Zealand Wool Commission, added that a small selection of fleece wool was on about a par with the Wanganui sale but lambs wools were erratic and prices were in the buyers’ favour. j The total offering was 15,315 bales but there were some passings. The bulk of the wool offered was second-shear. The report said buying was fairly widespread with the Continent. United States and local market taking the bulk of the second-shear. Bradford was only interested in ordinary style fleece. Competition was keenest for some very high shears of
