RUGBY Last-Minute Try Keeps Chch. Among Leaders

Christchurch kept its place as one of the three leading teams by scoring a try in the last few minutes to beat Albion by 20 points to 17 in a highly entertaining match at Lancaster Park in the seventh round of the senior Rugby championship.

Albion gave a gallant display. It had the better of the match and on the run of play deserved to win. But the unpredictable D. A. Arnold came to light when Albion w’as on attack. He charged down an attempted field goal, recovered the ball and started a passing movement which ended when he scored the winning points.
