FOREIGN AID BILL

The House of Representatives today approved President Johnson’s 3370 milliondollar Foreign Aid Bill and sent it to the Senate. | The final House vote came ] after it had rejected a Re- ; oublican attempt to cut the j bill by 131 million dollars. | The move was sponsored by |Mr Ross Adair, a leader of the anti-foreign aid forces in the House. He said the amount of the cuts he proposed was equivalent to the total of loans intended for such countries as the United Arab Republic. Haiti, Camj bodia, Indonesia, Algeria, Ghana and the Congo (Brazzai ville). AH these countries. Mr j Adair said, had repeatedly flouted the United States and 1 American aid “If we want to let them know we resent their attitude, then here is the way to do it,” he said. The House defeated Mr Adair’s amendment on the voices.
