MATURING GOVERNMENT SECURITIES Holders of Government Loans maturing on 15th June, 15th July and 15th August, 1965 are being offered conversion for a further term as an alternative to repayment The new stock offered in replacement of maturing issues is of the same terms as the current Government Cash Loan 5 per cent, for 20 years 4{ per cent, for 8 years and 4} per cent, for 3 year stock. The Reserve Bank has written to some 19,000 holders of registered stock, and has received an excellent response; but is anxious that the same offer should be conveyed to holders of 3 per cent bearer Stock Certificates maturing on the 15th July, 1965. Because these are bearer securities, transferable by delivery, the Bank has no certain knowledge of the names and addresses of the holders. Those holding Stock Certificates should get in touch with their bank, savings bank or the Reserve Bank at Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. Inquiries about maturing stock or Stock Certificates should bo made without delay, and any intending conversion applications lodged promptly, as the offer closes on Friday, 4th June.
