WELLINGTON, May 28.

Two Britons and an Australian have been awarded senior research fellowships in New Zealand, the Minister of Science (Mr Taiboys) announced yesterday. Each fellowship is worth about £2OOO a year, plus fares. The recipients are Dr. J. B. Goodey, of the Rothamsted experimental station, Harpenden, England, Dr. A. E. Cook, of the Department of Biochemistry and Agricultural Biochemistry, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and Dr. A. T. Pugsley, of the Agricultural Research Institute, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

The purpose of the fellowships. Mr Taiboys said, is to attract “mature scientists from whom New Zealand science will benefit through the use of new techniques and ideas.”
