POULTRY RUNS
Penalty If No Registration (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 28. The Poultry Board will take action against poultry farmers who fail to register under the Poultry Runs Registration Act (1933). The chairman of the board (Mr G. L. McLatchie) today appealed to all poultry farmers, with 25 or more hens or ducks and selling eggs, to observe their obligations under the act and register before next Tuesday. Unless poultry farmers paid the registration fee of 2s 6d for each hundred birds they would be liable for prosecution and to a weekly penalty, he said.
