SYDNEY, May 27.
A man and a woman had threatened to kill her, Miss Robyn McCauley, aged 23, a Parliament House typist, said today. She said the man told her in a telephone call: “If you are out any night on your own, I’ll slash your face to pieces.” The woman, in a telephone call this week, told Miss McCauley: “If I could get half the chance at you, I’d kill you.” Miss McCauley today said she had received six death threats since last Friday night, but had not reported them to the police. Miss McCauley’s name was mentioned in the Lower Court hearing of a charge against the former speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Mr Ray Septimus Maher.
