SCOUTMASTERS TRAINING
20 Attending Course On Leadership
Twenty scoutmasters are attending a leadership course which has been organised by the Canterbury Boy Scouts’ Association. A course has also been organised for cubmasters.
The aim of the course is to instruct the leaders ill the patrol system which is the basis of scouting. There will be instruction in technical skills, demonstration of ceremonies, group organisation, and planning of long-term programmes.
The instructors are Messrs H. W. Millard. A. E. Stowell, B. Oliver and M. Stowell. The final session will be held on Wednesday, June 2, and on Saturday, June 26, scoutmasters and cubmasters will combine in a demonstration evening for parents and friends.
