MALAYSIAN DISPUTE
Japan Unable To Mediate
(N Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright)
TOKYO, May 28
A Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman said today the situation had made it difficult for Japan to make any attempt at mediation in the Malaysian dispute, at least until the end of the second Afro-Asian conference in Algiers on June 29. The Japanese delegation to Algiers would definitely support Malaysia’s participation in the conference, he said.
The Indonesian Foreign Minister (Dr. Subandrio) left Djakarta for Canton today to meet the Chinese Prime Minister (Mr Chou En Lai) for talks on the forthcoming Algiers conference and on Indonesian-Chinese relations.
