ROYAL VISIT ENDS
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright)
HAMBURG, May 28
Queen Elizabeth sails for home tonight in the royal yacht Britannia from Hamburg at the end of her State visit to West Germany. The people of Hamburg are preparing a warm send-off.
A Hamburg newspaper has chartered 10 motor vessels so that thousands of townspeople can accompany the Queen when she sails down the Elbe with an escort of two British frigates and two West German destroyers.
Coloured torches and 100.000 Union Jacks are being distributed.
After arriving here in the special train that has been her home during most of her 11 days in Germany, the Queen will be introduced to members of the Hamburg Senate.
While the Duke of Edinburgh visits the West German armed forces command academy, the Queen will take a launch trip on Lake Alster, in the heart of Hamburg, and present a cup to the winner of a regatta. After a luncheon given for her by the Senate in the town hall, she and Prince Philip will tour Hamburg harbour and then board the Britannia. Before sailing for home the Queen will give a dinner aboard the Britannia for the West German President, Dr. Heinrich Luebke.
