Accident-Free
“The Arthur’s Pass National Park had a remarkab'e accident-free year to March 31, 1 am glad to say.” said the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr N. S. Coad) at the board’s annual meeting in Christchurch. There had been no search-and-rescue operations called for, he said. A few minor accident cases occuring in the Arthur's Pass township—a person suffering a broken leg, for instance—had been treated at the park headquarters, but had not been connected with public use of the park.
