Irish Earl Picked For Auckland
"The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The Auckland Trotting Club’s mid-winter meeting will be opened at Epsom tomorrow evening with large fields. Two races, the Mangaone and Flying Handicaps, require divisions. The double is on the Dictation Handicap, for trotters, and the Oroua Handicap for pacers, both with limit fields. The Irish Earl and Bonny Rachael bracket may be in most demand in the first leg with good support for Paying Guest and Highland Countess. Recent form gives half the field in the Oroua Handicap even prospects and Friendly Ways, Ngakawau and Rekab may dispute the issue. The track is in splendid order. Selections: —
