Share Trading Again Follows Firm Trend
Share trading again followed a firm trend yesterday with twice as many rises as falls over-all and Australian stocks slightly firmer.
Some good individual gains were again made in the New Zealand list, with D. Henry, as bellwether, rising 4s to 35s 6d, Auckland Laundry 2s 6d to 30s, South Otago Freezing 2s to 40s, P.T.Y. Is 7d to 25s 6d ex-dividend and Colonial Motors Is 6d to 68s. Truth rose to 60s 6d in both Wellington and Christchurch.
Among Australian shares 1.C.1.A.N.Z. rights continued rising with a further Is gain to 14s 6d, while in the mining section Broken Hill South and Mount Lyell each gained 6d.
