Too Many Deer
(Special Crxpdt. N.Z.P.A > LONDON, May 26. Marksmen will shoot 200 wild deer this summer "as humanely as possible" in Britain’s biggest forest, the 700 square miles of trees around Kielder, Northumberland. A Forestry commission official said that this, the biggest slaughter of deer, was necessary to prevent suffering through overcrowding.
