LONDON, May 25.
Doctors took three months to find out what made Tim Schofield blush and break out in a rash, the “Daily Express” reported. Then they came up with the answer. He was allergic to kissing his girl-friend. She made his blood boil.
The diagnosis was: “Every time you kiss her good night it sends up your temperature and makes your blood overheat”
The next night he proved it He kissed his girl, 17-year-
old student, Billie Tordoff, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, then rushed to a mirror. His face was scarlet and soon the rash appeared. But now Tim is cured. A doctor and a skin specialist gave him a box of Tittle blue pills and advised him to take four a day and always before a date with Billie.
Today Tim Schofield, of Amersham, Buckinghamshire, said: “They work. I haven’t had a blush or an itch since I started taking them.
“It is a tremendous relief. It wasn’t at all amusing while
my little spot of bother went undiagnosed. My good-night kisses were the last thing that anyone suspected. “When I was asked about emotional attachments and mentioned Billie, I suddenly realised that my blush trouble always seemed to coincide with our dates.” Billie Tordoff said: "I’ve never affected anyone like this before,” the “Daily Express” reported. And Tim replied: “Same here. I’ve had other girl friends and kissed them with complete immunity.”
