Dr. D. W Beaven, director of the Medical Unit, Princess Margaret Hospital, and Dr. D R. Hay, cardiologist to the North Canterbury Hospital Board, have been elected fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (F.R.A.C.P.). Mr O. C. Mitchell has been elected an honorary life member of the Canterbury Master Builders’ Association. He has been especially active in apprenticeship affairs. Mr C. C. A. McLachlan was re-elected chairman of the Canterbury-Westland divisional committee of the National Party at the annual meeting yesterday. Mr H. Cordery was elected deputy chairman
