, ASHBURTON. Horses placed first, second and third at totatlsator meetings were selected and the rest balloted out for the field for the New Zealand Sapling Stakes, of £2OOO, for two-year-olds, to be run at Ashburton on June 5. The field is:—
Alray (6), Atanui (15), Athenian (18), Batavia (9), Belile Byrd (17), Bonnie Hanover (11), Bryan John (2), Courtier (12), Delo (21), Final Count (20), Goldmount (19). Have Care (4), Lustre Scott (5), Morris Hart (18), Mount Eden (22), PhlCilmark (13), Roydon Prince (8), Scotch Cherle (3).
Balloted out with right of reenry in the following order up to 4 p.m. on June 4: Inky Boy (7), Local Star (1), Maluka (10), Cardinal Hanover (14).
Balloted out: Contour, Country John, Shy Bens, Sir Ike, Snead.
Brackets: Belle Byrd and Local Star, Courtier and Have Care, Roydon Prince and Scotch Cherle.
