BUILDING AT LINCOLN
Progress With Big Contracts
A tremendous amount of major building is in progress at Lincoln College. The principal (Dr. M. M. Burns) told the council yesterday: “The contractors for the teaching block continue to make good progress with the pouring of the concrete for the below ground J level foundations. "Work on the foundations for the first Agricultural Engineering Institute building has been continued.
“Further progress was made on the laboratory extension for biochemistry. “The painting staff have moved on to a major programme of interior work. “The services staff have been fully engaged on the heating programme and on the installation of heating in the new biology laboratory. “The contractor has completed the erection of the new sheepyards for the mixed farm and the contractor for the associated shearing shed is expected to complete the building by the date of the May council meeting.”
