Last Chalice For Trimble

GRENADA, May 25. The Australian opener, S. Trimble, is in line for his third tour century on the final day of the tourists’ last first-class match against the Windward Islands today. Trimble will resume at 71 for Australia which has scored 151 for one in reply to the Windward Islands’ first innings total of 223. Trimble had previously made centuries against the
Jamaica Colts and Barbados Colts. A total of two hours and a half were lost yesterday because of rain.

Tennis Loss.— Miss P. O’Carroll, of New Zealand, was beaten in the first round of the women’s singles in the Surrey lawn tennis championships at Surbiton. Miss V. H. Dennis, of Middlesex, beat her, 6-4, 8-6.
