Farmers See Harbour
Some of the farmers whose produce will be shipped overseas from Lyttelton saw the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s facilities, including Cashin quay and the eastern harbour extension, yesterday. A group of about 65 farmers from the Amur!, Darfield, Sheffield and Oxford branches of Federated Farmers were guests of the board on a trip round the harbour in the tug Lyttelton I and then on a tour of the eastern extension and the first of the three transit sheds.
