SEWAGE WORK AREAS
Board Wants Control
The Christchurch Drainage Board last evening strongly supported a proposal that drainage authorities should have power to control the use of land in the vicinity of sewage works. This was a recommendation of the commission which inquired into alleged nuisances in the Auckland metropolitan drainage district. The board was asked for its views by the Department of Health, which said that legislation was being considered.
