Licence For New Hotel
The Blenheim Road Motor Inn will open to the public for the first time today. The Canterbury Licensing Committee (Messrs E. A. Lee, S.M., W. E. Olds and T. F. Carter) yesterday approved an order for the transfer of the publican’s licence of the former Shades Hotel in Hereford street to the new premises.
The commitee cancelled the publican’s licence of the Shades Hotel and in lieu the owners of the new property. Blenheim Road Property Ltd (Mr R. A. Wylie) was granted provisional premises and hotel-keeper’s licences.
