CANTERBURY TRIALS
Selector May
Be Present
Mr V. L. George, chairman of the South Island selection panel and an All Black selector, may attend the Canterbury Rugby trial at Rugby Park today. Originally no selectors would have been at the match because it was arranged after their itinerary was decided. However, as the selectors will not see Canterbury play before the South Island All Black trials, Mr George may fly to Christchurch today to see the game. Three changes have been made for the trial. R. C Moreton. because of injury, and D. kitchen are not available and they have been replaced as second five-eighths by P. O’Malley (Old Boys) and D. Happer (Ellesmere) P. Jellyman (Linwood) has come into the emergencies. J A Francis, who was a forward emergency, is not available and has been replaced by the Christchurch . lock. A. Lesl’e.
