HUSHAWAY MIGHT WIN

(From Our Own Reporter) BLENHEIM. Hushaway, which failed among the open sprinters on the first day of the meeting, could be Riccarton’s first major winner at the Blenheim meeting when he is tried over a middle distance in the Woodbourne Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double, on the third day of the Marlborough Racing Club's meeting tomorrow.

Form rivals which will oppose Hushaway include the Marlborough Cup winner, Sir Torre, and the runner-up in that race. Bon Voyage, and Tundra, a close second to Grand Coeur in the corresponding event yesterday. Vivien Robe and Flying Trix, the best behind Rae’s Hope in yesterday’s Flying Handicap, will be two of the strong fancies in the A. F. Lowe Handicap, second leg of the main double. The order of the races has been changed so that the oncourse double can operate on the Wairau Hack Hurdles and the Seddon Hack Handicap. The popular combination for this double will probably be Sir Loin and Captain Howe. Selections: — Noon. Wairau Hack Hurdles: Sir Loin, Court Fair. Erldon. 12.35 p.m.—Trial Stakes: D bbie Marie.
