Fell From Scaffold
(N.Z. Press Association? PALMERSTON NORTH, May 3. The foreman of a Palmerston North building firm, and his 14-year-old son were injured yesterday when they fell from a 15 foot mobile scaffold in the premises of the Operatic Society in Church street. Both were taken to Palmerston North Hospital where the foreman, Nohi Nohi Baker, received treatment to broken ribs, and his son, Kerry, who suffered a broken leg, was also treated. The accident occurred while work was being carried out on the insulation of the roof inside the building to improve the acoustic conditions in preparation for auditions. The scaffolding on wheels was being moved to another part of the hall when it overturned, causing the two to fall.
