THREE HURT

Plummeting Aircraft (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 3. A passenger and two members of the crew of a Canadian Pacific Airlines Bristol Britannia aircraft were injured when the plane plummeted several thousand feet after meeting severe turbulence 100 miles north of Nandi this morning.

The aircraft, with 20 passengers aboard, was bound for Nandi and Auckland.

It was undamaged by the turbulence and continued to Auckland, arriving nearly two hours late at 2.20 p.m. The injured people were admitted to Lautoko Hospital for observation. The names were not available today. A spokesman for C.P.A. in Auckland said several other passengers were also injured, but were allowed to continue on the flight after being treated by doctors at the Nandi airport clinic. C.P.A. officials refused to make the captain of the aircraft or the crew available for an interview and would not supply names or addresses of passengers on the flight.
