Minor Fires
Units from Woolston dealt with two minor oven fires on Saturday—the first at 76 Aidwins road at 10.33 a.m., and the second at 32 The Brae, shortly after 7 p.m. About a chain of hedge by the Sumner School for the Deaf was destroyed at 3.15 p.m. Units from Woolston and Sumner extinguished the blaze. A rubbish fire at 196 Worcester street was extinguished by a unit from the Headquarters station about 10.20 p.m.
