Cold Night, Tiny Crowd The crowd of 3739 on Saturday night was by far the smallest to attend a night trotting meeting at Forbury Park. Even so it was more than satisfactory in the conditions. An icy south-westerly wind swept the course, with some light showers adding to the discomfort of patrons. The track was soft on top. but provided quite good going. On-course totalisator turnover amounted to £45.017 ss. including £8425 5s on the two doubles, compared with £75,975 15s last year. Off-course betting showed an increase, amounting to £llO,OlO, including £54.556 on the double, compared with £78,899 last year.

Donald Dundee Ineligible (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Donald Dundee was declared ineligible to start on the second night of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s winter meetinc on Wednesday, after an inquiry into the horse’s running on Saturday night. Following the running of the Forbury Park Handicap, an inquiry was held into the running of Donald Dundee, owned and trained by C. C. Scott and driven by R. M. Cameron. After hearing Cameron, and from the observation of the stew ards, it was found that the performance of the horse was unsatisfactory.
