Andersons To Make Pumps “The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. May 2. Mason Bros.. Ltd., Auckland. through its Christchurch subsidiary, Andersons, Ltdwill soon begin to manufacture a selected range of pumps for the big British concern. W. H. Allen Sons and Company, Ltd., of Bedford. W. H. Allen Sons, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineer, has registered a New Zealand subsidiary, Allen Gwynnes (N.Z.) Ltd. This subsidiary will act as New Zealand agent for the Brtiish group. John Burns and Company. Ltd., the former agent, will be distributor for pumping plant. Mr A. Balderston, formerly of John Burns and Company, has been appointed sales manager of Allen Gwynnes. Mason Bros, will provide accommodation and certain administrative assistance to the new company, for which Mr M. R. Mason, secretary of Mason Bros., will act as secretary. Bank Ratios Balances to be maintained by the trading banks at the Reserve Bank from April 23 are 12 per cent of demand deposits and 3 per cent of time deposits, not counting wool retention deposits.
