He Slipped
A car dealer slipped on his vernacular when he offered a car for “only 1395 bananas” in Hartford, Connecticut. Mrs Bernice Wyszyncki stopped at a greengrocery, picked up 25 dollars’ worth of bananas as down payment and plopped the fruit down on the dealer's desk. When he explained that he really wanted dollars, not bananas, she filed a false advertising complaint with the State consumer protection commissioner. A hearing will be held.
