START NOT CERTAIN

(From Our Own Reporter} BLENHEIM.

Southern Belle, which brilliantly won the Fieton Hack Handicap at Blenheim on Saturday, is not a certain starter in the Havelock Handicap today, but her Gore trainer, E. A. Winsloe, will not make a final decision until this morning. The Bellborough mare, which Is now in open class, but will have further opportunities to compete against the hacks on the circuit, drew the outside barrier position of 15 in today’s event. Gold Claim, an acceptor for the Hack Hurdles and also the Havelock Hack Handicap, might run in the . latter event, in which he will be ridden by T. J. Rudd. Mighty Nice will run in the Apprentices Improvers’ Handicap in preference to the Pelorus Hack Handicap. He will be ridden by A. J. Tweedie. The Orari trainer. L. H. Pratt, has Windsor Castle and Bandarshar engaged in the hurdles, but it is unlikely both will run. Bandarshar has an alternaengagement in the Richmond Brook Handicap, but with the light scale of weights his trainer is concerned about getting a suitable light-weight rider. If His Host starts in the Havelock Handicap he will be ridren by D. N. Hadfield. L. K. Tinsley, will ride Italians if. he starts in the Weld Novice Stakes, but should he run in the Blenheim Maiden Stakes, in which I. Robinson also has Olde Chelsea engaged, J. R. Dowling will be his rider King Panair has been accepted for both the Apprentices Improvers’ Handicap and the Pelorus Hack Handicap. It is likely he will start in the former event, in which he will be ridden by K. W. Cribb.
