Singapore Arrests
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SINGAPORE, May 2. Singapore today remained under a govern-ment-proclaimed state-of-danger with its entire 5000-man police force on the alert following yesterday’s clashes with several thousand Leftist, anti-government and anti-American demonstrators. A police spokesman said 277 persons had been arrested as a result of the disturbances which riot squads quelled with tear gas and batons.
