First Tasman Air Service
Sir, —Your article on the Tasman air services, interested the writer, who was one of the 11 passengers on the first Christmas flight, of which Captain J. W. Burgess was in command. Before the cutting of the cake, he introduced Miss E. Rogers to us as the very first woman to Cross the Tasman. During the recent inauguration of the Boeing Sydney-Christchurch service, it would have been an appropriate gesture tn have included her in this historic event, or at least made mention of her holding this distinction. —Yours, etc., M. JAMES. April 30, 1965.
