WIRE THEFT CHARGE
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 30. Four men appeared in the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court charged with the theft of copper wire worth £2500, the property of the Waitemata Electric Power Board. Pat Peita, aged 28. a driver, and Joseph Poi, aged 55, a workman, appeared before Mr H. Jenner Wily, S.M., and Victor Hopa, aged 29. a workman, and Arthur Hill, aged 67, a pensioner, before Mr F. Snook, J.P. All were remanded to appear in the Auckland Magistrate's Court next Wednesday. No pleas were taken.
TEN countries will be exhibiting at France’s second National .Fair of Food, Wine and Gastronomy, to be held at Dijon in November.
