Refusal
(N Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) RAWALPINDI (Pakistan), April 30. Pakistan today refused to accept international attempts to arrange a ceasefire in the disputed Rann of Kutch area. A Government spokesman said the IndianPakistani fighting could not end on terms suggested by the Indian Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri. India demanded restoration of the status quo before the fighting erupted on April 9. This would mean Pakistan would have to withdraw from areas it considers to be Pakistani.
