Attendance Rise <N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. Since the Totalisator Agency Board started operating in New South Wales last December, attendances at race meetings in Sydney have risen by more than 80,000 on the figure for the corresponding period last year, according to statistics released today. In the nine months of the present racing season there has been an increase in attendances at all meetings of 125.406. The attendance figures for the 73 meetings to date are 1.542.736. This is an increase of 125.406 on the 1,417.330 for the corresponding period last season. Forty-six meetings on Saturdays and public holidays this season averaged 25,808 a meeting, compared with 24,326 last season (43 meetings). The averages for Wednesday fixtures were: 13,168 this season (27 meetings) and 12,376 in 1963-64 (30 meetings). The New Zealand filly Pleasanton yesterday won the £lOOO Autumn Cup at Geelong. Pleasanton, starting at 3/1, beat Dholeah (5/1) by half a neck, with Correct (16-1) three-quarters of a length behind third.
