Mild Day
Early morning showers were followed by a clear, sunny day in Christchurch yesterday. The temperature at Harewood at 9 a.m. was 47 degrees and by noon it had risen to 56 degrees. A maximum temperature of 59 degrees was recorded at the airport at 3 p.m. when the temperature at the Botanic Gardens was 60 degrees. At 4.15 p.m. the temperature gauge on the Government Life building registered 61 degrees.
