Boiler-room Fire

Staff and residents of the Y.M.C.A. hostel in Cambridge terrace were evacuated for a short period yesterday morning while firemen dealt with a fire in the boiler-room. The fire is believed to have been caused by a blow-back from the furnace which ignited material surrounding it. Damage was slight. Two engines from the headquarters station attended the call which was received at 6.50 a.m.
