Gallipoli Veterans For Anzac Cove

(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, April 1.

Parties of Gallipoli veterans will leave Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch by air at the week-end for Sydney before their departure for Anzac Cove, on the Gallipoli peninsula, to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the landings there on April 25, 1915.

At the same hour as the historic landing, the party will land at Anzac Cove. The leader of the New Zealand party, Mr B. V. Cooksley, said tonight that he did not know what ships would be used to land the party but these were being arranged by the Turkish authorities.

The party will spend two days ashore and will lay eight wreaths on Anzac cemeteries, including one

from the Government for Chunuk Bair, the New Zealand memorial.
