problem of glare from the sky and road, which is considerable with many of today’s extensively glazed cars, can be far worse for vision than a good pair of sunglasses, which undoubtabley improve vision in these conditions. In Africa, and on rallies there, some drivers paint the bonnets of their cars matt black, but still need sunglasses. The only other solution is a tinted windscreen, which can interfere with night vision. Rear Belts Too
In the United States, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler have confirmed they will fit seat belts as standard equipment in the rear seats of all new cars. This will start with the 1966 models. Front belts are already standard equipment. In Britain, seat-belt anchorages will be made compulsorysoon, and shortly afterwards belts in the front seats will also be made compulsory.
Lane Straddling

But they are not much good if drivers will not keep to their lanes, and signal when they intend to change from one lane to the other. The worst offenders, strangely, seem to be commercial drivers and taxi drivers. Strange, because with their experience, it might be expected they would use the lanes correctly.
