Show Jumping Prize GV.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, Mar. 22. The world prize for New Zealand horse jumping has been won by the Te Awamutu combination of Townboy, ridden by C. Clarke. Townboy jumped his way into an unbeatable position when the Horse of the Year competition ended at Hastings at the week-end. Second was the Gisborne horse, Walnut, ridden by S. A. Mitchell. This horse was upgraded from C grade in this year’s circuit and performed consistently well throughout the competition. The world prize for the Horse of the Year show at Hastings was shared by Statesman, ridden by E. Thomas (W’aihi), and Challenge, ridden by P. Harwood (Hamilton), each with nine points. Results of concluding events were:—
