U.S. Writer’s Visit
A leading American travel writer and editor, Mr Robert G. Kane, will visit New Zealand in April. The Tourist and Publicity Department says that in view of his potential importance to New Zealand’s overseas publicity drive Mr Kane will be extended considerable assistance during his tour. Mr Kane has produced a series of travel guides published by Doubleday and Company, New York, known as “A to Z.” These have been produced on South America, Africa, Asia and Canada. Mr Kane is visiting New Zealand to obtain material for a similar publication devoted to the South Pacific. Mr Kane is also travel editor of “Cue” magazine and “Playbill” magazine, and is national Secretary of the Society of American Travel Writers.
