Health Deputy
Mr A. E. Galletly, of Wellington has been appointed deputy Director-General of Health (administration) by the State Services Commission. He replaces Mr D. A. Hunn. who retired recently. Since 1956, Mr Galletly has been chief executive officer of the Health Department’s Division of Hospitals. Mr Galletly's public service career began in 1926 when he joined the Customs Department in Christchurch as a cadet. He rose to become examining officer in the department in Wellington. From 1944 to 1956 he served in the Public Service Commission inspectorate and for several years inspected the Health Department.
