F.F.C. Still Takes Most N.Z. Wool

European Economic Community countries continue to take most of New Zealand's wool, according to the New Zealand Wool Commission.

In the seven months to the end of January, 250,653 bales of wool were entered for export to these countries out of a total of 697,912 bales.

This represents 36 per cent of exports while the next largest importer, United Kingdom, takes 24 per cent or 66,256 bales. Exports Down

Export figures are running 12 per cent or 94,966 bales below that for the same period last year. Of the principal importers, only Belgium has taken more wool so far.
