New Brighton
Sir, —Petticoat lane is quite a tourist attraction in London, so one wonders why “Mod Parent” missed one out from his list of what New Brighton needs. To bargain in it on Sunday morning and then totter across the way for a beer, while, meanwhile, a brassy blonde bashed a piano in the bar, was quite an experience. Fancy! With pre-stressed girders and a Petticoat lane, New Brighton could quickly spread to the Chatham Islands and precincts.— Yours, etc., THE WHOLE HOG. March 1 ,1965.
