“NOT A' FLOP”

Water Polo Team Back

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 1

The New Zealand water polo visit to Tasmania was not a flop, the captain, A. Kocsis, said on his return to Auckland.

In fact, said Kocsis, the team had played more practice matches in Hobart than it would have played competition games had it been allowed by the Australian Swimming Union to play officials games. New Zealand practised with all State teams except New South Wales. The team was chosen for Its youth and had gained valuable experienced from playing the State sides, even if the matches were only morning training games. Kocsis said he and other New Zealand team officials had gained detailed knowledge of Australia's experiences in water polo at the Olympic Games. This knowledge would be most useful in coaching in this country.
